EnBW
EnBW stands for „Energie Baden-Württemberg AG“, meaning the energy supplier of the state of Baden-Württemberg. With its size, it is one of the biggest operators of critical infrastructure in Germany with future orientated solutions for electricity, heat, electromobility and telecommunications. The headquarter of EnBW is located in Karlsruhe, but the company has plants in Stuttgart and its surroundings as well. The company of EnBW stands for digital and sustainable energy supply and therefore is closely connected to the topic of the Summer School and a perfect and realistic example of the Twin Transformation. Moreover, the EnBW is currently working on hydrogen cars with one of its generating plants close to Stuttgart.

Trumpf
To further develop and digitally connect the production technology and making it more economic, precise and safe for the future - that's the main goal of the company Trumpf. It is one of the market leaders for working tools and lasers for the industrial production in Germany, aiming for smart factories with software solutions. Furthermore, this can also be seen in a company slogan of Trumpf: “Unlocking technological worlds for generations to come”. Their strategy of smart factories is closely connected to the topic of Industry 4.0, meaning the digitalization of industrial production and processes. Thereby, Trumpf connects digitalization with sustainability, aiming right at the intersection of our Summer School.
Besides, their headquarters is located in the city of Ditzingen which is only a few kilometers away from the city centre of Stuttgart. Consequently, a look into their workflow is very worthwhile.

L-Bank
The third input will be from the L-Bank, the state bank of Baden-Württemberg. It supports the economy, the communes and the people in the state of Baden-Württemberg with financial aid. Additionally, it provides financial support for parents and educational measures, but also endorses climate change protection. Especially for Start-ups, the L-Bank represents the impetus for success. In terms of our Summer School, the L-Bank will provide insights into social sustainability in the context of personnel recruiting and management. In general, the company's sustainability efforts started with the creation of a sustainability management system in 2012 and it has been involved in a sustainable structural change towards a low-emission, resource-saving and socially inclusive economy ever since. Moreover, the L-Bank also specifically supports the transformation of the economy in terms of digitalization with the innovation financing 4.0 (see: L-Bank Innovationsfinanzierung 4.0).
