Habilitation

The habilitation is a recognition of exceptional ability for research and teaching in a specific field. It is only possible to complete a habilitation in fields represented at the University of Hohenheim and in which the University has the right to confer doctoral qualifications.

On obtaining the habilitation, you have the authorization to lecture (venia legendi) in a specific field. This entitles you to use the title “private lecturer” (Privatdozent). With the award of the title, you are required to hold one weekly, two-hour course per semester during the lecture period at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.
