Your course of study

One program – three degrees

The specialization "International Management" (Triple-Bachelor-Program) is a joint program offered by the Universities of Hohenheim, Strasbourg (France) and Liège (Belgium) and includes a one-year stay at each of the three universities. You start your studies in Hohenheim, transfer to Liège in the second year and complete your studies in Strasbourg. The program combines the respective strengths of the three underlying Bachelor-Programs and is aimed at high performing and motivated students.

The Triple-Bachelor-Program in Business Administration and Economics offers you an intensive introduction to the subjects of business administration and economics, social sciences, as well as mathematics and statistics in the first two years in Hohenheim and Liège. In the final year in Strasbourg, you will then go through a more application- and practice-oriented specialization in the field of international management and complete your studies with an integrated six-month internship. At the end, you will receive your degree certificates from all three participating universities. With one program, you acquire the B.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics as well as the Bachelier en sciences économiques et de gestion and the Bachelier Affaires Internationales.

Digital networking

In addition to you, there will also be students in Liège and Strasbourg who complete the Triple-Bachelor-Program and start at their home university. We focus on early digital networking between the year groups and also connecting the different year groups on one campus.

Integrated language courses

In your first year, you will follow a very similar program to the other students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics. The special feature is that you will attend one preparatory language module per semester, mainly in French, but also in English. The second year of study in Liège will introduce you to the basic topics of business administration and economics, but the language of instruction will be mostly French. We want to prepare you well in these languages before you experience a mix of French and English in the third year.

International practice

In the final semester, you will swap your study perspective for a practical perspective and complete a six-month internship. Here you can access the networks of all three universities and choose for yourself where you want to do the internship.

Our partners

HEC Liège (Liège) und EM Strasbourg (Strasbourg)

Liège has almost 200,000 inhabitants and is the economic and cultural centre of Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium. One of our partners in the Triple-Bachelor-Program is the HEC Management School of the Université de Liège, which is based there. It was established in 2005 through the merger of the Management and Economics Departments of the University of Liège (founded in 1817) and the HEC Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Liège (founded in 1898).

Strasbourg (Strasbourg) is the seat of many European institutions and has approximately 290,000 inhabitants. Our partner here, the EM Strasbourg Business School of the Université de Strasbourg, has been one of the Grandes Écoles in France since 2000, making it one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the country. It was created in 2007 from a merger of the Institut d'enseignement commercial supérieur (founded in 1919) and the Institut d'administration des entreprises of the Université de Strabourg (founded in 1538).

We are united by more than 10 years of intensive and trusting cooperation, the experience of joint projects, as well as cooperation in Double-Degree-Programs that have already lasted several years. All three universities are members of the HERMES network and the AACSB. Strasbourg and Liège have already successfully gone through the international accreditation process of AACSB and EQUIS, Hohenheim is aiming for accreditation by AACSB by 2023 at the latest.

Your requirements

High-performing and committed

You should have a lot of curiosity and openness, as well as a high level of commitment and flexibility. The change of university requires adaptability in your everyday life and studies and a good portion of discipline. The program will certainly demand more from you than studying in one place - but you can also experience and achieve much more. So it's worth it!

In addition to your interest in business, you should definitely have a high affinity for foreign languages and intercultural contexts, in this case especially for French, but also for English. We expect that you can already prove knowledge of both languages at B2 level when you apply. You can do this as follows:

For French B2

  • DELF B2 (DELF scolaire/Junior, DELF tous publics, DELF PRO)
  • UNIcert II (at least "good")
  • Abi-Bac (simultaneous acquisition of the general matriculation standard [Abitur] and the French Baccalauréat [Bac])
  • Alternatively, the Abitur certificate (special subject/ advanced course/ specialization) with at least 10 points in French is accepted as proof.

For English B2

  • TOEFL with at least 550 points (paper-based test) or 213 points (computer-based test) or 79 points (internet-based test).

Added value of multiple degrees

A multiple degree is the best foundation for starting your international career. With your Triple-Bachelor degree, you not only have an advantage on the foreign labor market, but also on the interior labor market. Since a multiple degree proves your ability to perform, your flexibility and your independence.

Advantages versus a semester abroad

In a multiple degree program, your stays abroad and foreign study achievements are firmly integrated into the curriculum. With a semester abroad, in contrast, foreign achievements have to be recognized by your home university at a later date, and your studies can tend to take longer.

Benefit from the partner network

What's special about our degree program is that you can also use the networks of our partners for your internship semester. This opens up many international internship and career opportunities for you. In addition, you will also benefit from the good reputation of our partner universities when applying.

You will gain:

  • International experience
  • Better language skills
  • Intercultural competence
  • Higher reputation due to higher requirements
  • Better career opportunities

You can find more information about your career opportunities with business administration and economics here.
