Study documents

Which modules do I have to take during my studies? Which modules are compulsory electives? Are there deadlines in the degree program?

You can find these answers in the examination regulations, in the module catalog and in the study plan. Three important documents to give you the best overview of your studies.

The examination regulations contain all legal regulations regarding examinations. In the module catalog you will find all the modules that you must or can take in your studies. The study plan shows the modules in the individual semesters in chronological order. Read through everything at the beginning of your studies so that you are well informed about your options in your studies. This is your tool to plan your studies from the beginning.

Two orientations with many options

In your studies you have two areas of study, the economic orientation and the general education orientation. Which field of study you choose depends on your own preferences and, above all, your previous bachelor's qualifications. Important: Both fields of study entitle you to access the preparatory service for a career in higher education at vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg! If you are aiming for preparatory service after completing your master's degree, you must be able to provide evidence of a total of 42 weeks of in-company internships. As part of your studies, you can complete a stay abroad. The University of Hohenheim maintains partnerships with other universities both within Europe with the ERASMUS programme and overseas. You have the opportunity to have examination results obtained abroad recognised for the modules in your degree programme.
