International Networks

The faculty is part of international networks in Europe and Latin America. Through active collaboration with partner institutions in these networks, the faculty’s international focus is continually strengthened.

Exchanges within these networks promote academic collaboration, support joint research and study projects, and expand international collaboration opportunities for students and faculty.

HERMES Network

The faculty is part of the HERMES (Higher Education and Research in Management of European Universities) network, which was founded in November 1997.

The University of Hohenheim has been a member of the network since 2009; today, HERMES comprises 26 European and international universities (as of August 2026) and strengthens collaboration in teaching, research, and university development.

The network promotes international exchange programs for students and faculty, joint degree and double-degree programs, research collaborations, and workshops for doctoral candidates and students. All partner universities participating in the multiple-degree programs (double-degree and triple-degree programs) offered by the University of Hohenheim are part of the HERMES network. As a result, students benefit from a strong international network of universities with a wide range of exchange opportunities.
