I. Costs

The Hohenheim Summer School 2022 is an intensive academic program designed for advanced undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty’s academic partner institutions. Tuition fees are € 1.000 and do not include living costs. Students from partner universities who are nominated by the international office of their home university are exempt from tuition fees. The following services will be provided by the University of Hohenheim and are included in tuition fees:

• Letter of invitation
• Welcome package
• Lectures & lecture materials
• Company visits
• Wifi access on campus
• Certificate of attendance
• Closing reception

All participants are required to cover their own costs for accommodation, public transport, food, private excursions and personal needs.

Estimated costs to be borne by the participants (approximate costs, when available, will be updated on the website):

• Adequate health insurance for the duration of the program
• Visa (if needed)
• Travel expenses to and from Stuttgart
• Accommodation
• Regional public transport
• Food
• Optional cultural and social activities


II. Registration and Payment Information

Applicants will be informed by email upon admission to the program. To complete the registration students must transfer the amount for accommodation and public transport to the following bank account:

The amount must be paid by 1 May 2022. Registration is valid upon receipt of payment only. Any transaction fees will be borne by the participant.


III. Cancellation Terms

Cancellations are allowed within the following parameters and subject to certain conditions:
• Cancellation until 1 May: 100 % of total amount of accommodation and public transport will be refunded
• Cancellation from 1 May – 1 June: 50% of total amount of accommodation and public transport will be refunded
• Cancellation from 1 June: 0% of the total amount of accommodation and public transport will be refunded
• No show: 0% of the total amount will be refunded

For any cancellations please send an email to Lars Banzhaf. Cancellations are only valid upon con-firmation.
In case of cancellation of the Summer School due to a lack of participants, the University of Hohenheim will reimburse the complete amount of money paid for accommodation and public transport.


IV. Limited Liability

In case of any serious circumstances or acts of nature beyond control of the organizers, including, but not limited to, illness, death or cancellation of work contracts etc., the organizers aim for an ade-quate substitution. Though such a situation is highly unlikely, the maximum liability of the organizers is limited to the amount paid for accommodation and public transport.
The organizers do not cover any other costs of the participants, such as travel bookings, visa fees, etc.


V. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed and will be interpreted according to the laws of the Fed-eral Republic of Germany excluding choice of law rules. Except as otherwise provided under appli-cable law, the German courts in Stuttgart shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dis-pute which might arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
Please provide the following documents with your application:

• a transcript of records of your previous studies
• proof of English language at B2 level (for non-native English speakers only)
• a scanned copy of your passport (in case you need an invitation for a visa)
