5th Research Workshop of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences  [20.12.24]

On November 18, 2024 the fifth edition of the faculty’s Business, Economics and Social Sciences retreaT (BESST) took place in the blue hall of the Hohenheim Castle.

 

Throughout the workshop, we had engaging presentations on the following topics:

  • Misinformation and Conspiracy Theories as Obstacles to the Sustainability Transformation by Dr. Kevin Winter
  • Science Fiction: Potential Futures for AI-Enabled Automated Science by Prof. Dr. Henner Gimpel
  • Full Identification and Estimation of a Two-Component Energy Balance Model as a Cointegrated VAR by Prof. Dr. Thomas Dimpfl

In addition to the aforementioned insightful presentations, we held a thought-provoking discussion on laboratory experiments, including experiences, infrastructure and process requirements with the following participants:

We look forward to the continued impact of this workshop’s discussions and outcomes, and anticipate further scholarly developments resulting from the collective efforts of all participants.
